Lo prometido es deuda!!!

Aqui esta la carta que escribi al sacerdote, esta en Ingles porque es el lenguaje que utilizo normalmente!! es que no hablo español aqui en la fabrica para poder saber lo que hablan sin que ellos sepan asi que ahi va, alguna duda me preguntan en mi tag board:

My previous letters raised a continuous issue, that of bells ringing.
So far your only explanation as to why you ring bells, not that you need to give me one, was that it is a tradition. With all respect I must tell you tradition or no tradition I would not have the guts to periodically disturb the neighborhood from 7:30 am to 6:00pm everyday. I guess it is your turn during the day and it is Papa’s and Beer in the night.
Be that as it may, I have an even more thought provoking issue to discuss with you.

Let me start with the incident that that sparked in me some deep reflective thought.
I happened to stop outside your church several weeks ago and stood there gazing in and admiring the truly beautiful sight of large urns full with fresh flowers adorning the altars. Moments later a tall young man stood by my side. The tranquility of the moment was broken when this young man looked down at me and said: “If god really exists why does he allow his people to kill each other”

He had tears in his eyes as I asked him what prompted this comment, his reply –“my best friend was killed in Iraq last month”. As I commenced to sympathize with him he broke in with the following thought provoking religious philosophy. “I think we praise god so much that he thinks that we think it’s ok to kill each other, to allow hundreds of thousands of babies and children to die of starvation for aids and other disease killers to spread rampant through the world.

Like the boss in a business, kept praising him and he thinks he is “doing a good job”
Maybe if we stop praising him and tell him directly “ you are god, you are the super power, do something about it” Tell him we were tired of making excuses for him not being able to deal with world tragedies.

Lets turn our prayers from praise and glorification to demands for holly action.
If god is who you think he is he will listen. Don’t be scared or timid. A good boss will always listen to sound advice. Tell me that what I am saying is not sound advise to our almighty God! He turned around and disappeared down the street. Maybe god sent him with this message. After 5000 years whatever praying we are all doing isn’t helping –be it Christian, Jew, Muslim or Hindu.

Why not try this revolutionary approach?

My father used to often remind me that making difficult decisions distinguishes the men from the boys. The thoughts of this stranger outside your church may be the nucleus for a worldwide movement among all the world’s religions.
Or maybe the stranger and I are just dreamers. What do you think?
